Moravia Renews Sponsorship of Translators without Borders

Company’s social media campaign raises more than USD 3,000 in additional funds for humanitarian organization

Brno, Czech Republic—July 31, 2013

Moravia, one of the world’s leading globalization companies, has renewed its commitment as a Gold Sponsor of Translators without Borders. Moravia has also donated an additional USD 3,300 to the organization based on proceeds from the company’s social media fundraising campaign launched in December 2012.

Translators without Borders is a non-profit organization that supports humanitarian work around the world by providing pro bono translation services. In the last 18 months the organization has helped translate more than 11 million words for non-profit organizations such as Doctors without Borders, Oxfam and Action Against Hunger, among others. Translators without Borders has also established a translators’ training center in Nairobi, Kenya to make more lifesaving communications available to Africans in their own languages.

Lori Thicke, co-founder of Translators without Borders, said the financial support provided by sponsors like Moravia is critical to sustaining and growing the organization, particularly in areas where under-resourced languages are spoken. “We are very grateful to Moravia for their continued assistance, which is essential to supporting our humanitarian work around the world.”
