Brno, Czech Republic - November 7, 2007
Moravia Worldwide, a leading globalization solution provider, announced today it has ranked among Europe's 500 fastest growing companies for 2007. Europe's 500 is the only independent pan-European listing of high-growth, job-creating companies across all business sectors. The ranking is based on an analysis which considers the revenue and employee growth that companies achieved over a three-year period (from 31 December 2003 to 31 December 2006), and Moravia Worldwide has ranked as Europe's # 306 fastest growing company.
The list is compiled by Europe's 500: Entrepreneurs for Growth, a Brussels not-for-profit organization representing 2,000 high-growth entrepreneurs. Winners are ranked using the David Birch Employee Growth Index. This index multiplies absolute job growth by relative job growth to determine the employment-creation power of differently sized enterprises. Both private and publicly held companies headquartered in the European Union member states, plus Iceland, Norway and Switzerland, are eligible to be considered for Europe's 500.
The Europe's 500 listing for 2007 includes companies from 24 European countries, which collectively achieved a 26% annual growth rate in employment and an annual turnover growth rate of 28%. Europe's 500 winners will be individually honored on Saturday 24 November 2007 in Prague, Czech Republic, during a Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony. A special report on Europe's 500 and the top 100 companies titled 2007 European Hot Growth was published in the 1 November 2007 issue of BusinessWeek magazine.
"To be listed among Europe's 500 fastest growing companies is a fantastic achievement for all our staff and Moravia as a company," commented Ms. Katerina Forstingerova, Chief Executive Officer of Moravia Worldwide. "We have our global headquarters in Europe, but this high ranking reflects our revenue and job growth not only here but in all our locations - including North and South America and Asia Pacific. Since these results are based solely on our organic growth in the period, they also testify to how well our organization continues to meet and exceed the high requirements of the growing number of our customers. I am very proud of our staff."
