Monterey: The importance of being the ‘Language Capital of the World’

The city of Monterey, Calif., celebrates its designation as “The Language Capital of the World” with a cultural festival each year. Home to several important language institutions, such as the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and the Defense Language Institute, among others, Moravia, has opened the Monterey Language Center to take full advantage of what this rare linguistic hub has to offer.
