Although receiving less publicity than for instance China or India, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) is considered to be the next outsourcing haven for engineering and software development. Frequently labeled "Carpathian Tigers", as a parallel to the famous Asian or Celtic Tigers, CEE is firmly established as a major and growing offshoring center for globalization industry.
This article describes how the globalization services industry in the region has evolved since 1990 and what makes for the growing appeal of the region for outsourcing. It considers factors such as labor force, cost, culture or location, and shows the present and future trends in the region. Full article.
