Testing Team Coordinator (Santa Clara County, CA)

The Testing Team Coordinator will provide direct leadership and guidance to the onsite testing team in order to optimize the scalability and effectiveness of the team, and increase the contributions of the on-site resources to our Client.

Location: Onsite at Client facility in Santa Clara County, California (Local candidates only)
Job Status: Full-time, Non-exempt (hourly); applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Client-Side

  • Work with Client to coordinate testing efforts and plan resources as necessary
  • Collaborate with testers, producers and lab managers to ensure testing schedules remain on track
  • Coordinate testing efforts for a number of concurrent projects
  • Work with client to plan on-going “house-keeping” projects during downtime
  • Plan, track issues, identify and manage risks and communicate project status including metrics
  • Schedule meetings with Client/testers as needed, gather meeting agendas, document and share meeting notes
  • Provide feedback on test plans to ensure their completeness and improvement
  • Continually work to identify and improve internal standards and test tools
  • Support Client’s policies, processes and procedures, and communicate to testing teams as needed
  • Ensure testers receive access badge; escort testers into restricted areas including, but not limited to the testing lab, on a daily basis

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Moravia-Side

  • Provide direct on-site supervision of testers as Moravia employees and ensure that projects are executed successfully
  • Provide onboarding and on-going training
  • Perform regular evaluations of tester’s performance and highlight training needs
  • Collaborate with Sr. Testing Team Coordinator and Project Managers to develop and administer training on process, policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Sr. Testing Team Coordinator and Project Manager to address short- and long- term resource needs
  • Support HR process and documentation for new testers, including review of identity documentation for I-9, signing of NDAs, and other similar duties
  • Submit weekly status report to Moravia highlighting progress, areas to address and resource needs; proactively submit immediate escalations as needed
  • Verify and approve testers’ time cards

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - None

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Human Resources (HR) knowledge of employment and hiring practices (conducting interviews, wage and hour law, protected groups, etc.)
  • Advanced English speaking and writing skills required
  • Right candidate will be evaluated on 60% team leadership and 40% technical abilities

Education and/or Experience

  • University Degree; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
  • Functional or linguistic QA experience
  • 3 years of experience in management; experience in training, teaching, retail or military a plus
  • Client-oriented communication experience
  • Experience in software linguistic testing a plus
  • Experience in Localization a plus
