Localization Project Manager (Culver City, California)

Moravia is looking for a full-time, experienced Localization Project Manager in Culver City, California to support our Client with coordinating translation and validation of a variety of marketing materials (print, video, website, product documentation, etc.). This marketing team launches worldwide campaigns to promote new and existing products, as well as distributing localized assets for use by internal and external channels.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to help maintain high-quality localized content. The candidate is expected to quickly adapt to change, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be a champion for localization best practices.

Location: Onsite at Client facility in Culver City, California (Local candidates only)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate translation projects with multiple vendors and across a global team
  • Work closely with the Client’s Brand and Marcom teams to have insight into upcoming campaigns/content
  • Develop and maintain updated localization schedules for campaigns
  • Define, implement, maintain and document the localization process and best practices that will assist with the localization of new products, and product updates
  • Identify and prioritize materials for localization and ensure localization efforts are successful
  • Track budgets and assist division leads with localization forecasting
  • Oversee linguistic validation; establish, track and analyze localization quality
  • Maintain asset archive of all approved localized campaign materials
  • Conduct localizability assessments

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to collaboratively influence product content and Localization best practices with high-level decision makers on the Moravia and Client side
  • Extremely organized, efficient, with detail-oriented work habits
  • Have a passion for localization and project management
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent English skills required; native fluency in a foreign language preferred
  • Very personable and flexible when working with different stakeholders
  • Ability to balance many demands from varying teams
  • Excellent verbal / written communication and analytical skills
  • Possess the drive to complete multiple concurrent projects on time
  • Must have proven ability to manage through constant change, and at times uncertainty
  • Advanced time management and documentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to company culture

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience in translation and/or a relevant technical field
  • Experience with iOS, and iOS hardware preferred
  • 4+ years of project management experience working in the localization industry preferred
  • Experience with vendor management, establishing budgets and tracking expenditures
  • Experience with SDL WorldServer and/or other translation technologies
